FAQs

I have just applied to AUP Summer School. When will I hear back about my application?

If you have submitted your application, paid the application fee, and provided all the requested documents, you can expect to hear from our team within 2-3 weeks. If we are missing any required documents, please note that this will lead to delays in you receiving your admissions decision. The AUP Admissions Committee can only review applications that have been submitted and for which the application fee and all the required documents have been received.

Is there a deadline for admission to AUP’s Summer School?

We accept applications on a rolling basis, but please be advised that summer classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, if you are interested in a particular summer class, you may wish to apply early. You can email admissionsataup.edu to enquire about the status of a given class, too.

The application deadlines for Summer 2026 are as follows:

  • For our June 3-week classes and our 6-week classes, the deadline is May 27, 2026.
  • For our July 3-week classes, the deadline is June 24, 2026.
I’ve just been accepted to AUP’s Summer School. What do I need to do now?

Once you are accepted to AUP’s summer programs, you will be required to register and pay for your preferred classes in order to reserve your place. Students who have not paid in full by the tuition deadlines will be dropped from classes. We regret to inform summer applicants that we cannot assist with visa formalities.Ìý

I have selected to audit classes, but now I want to change and take classes for credit instead. Can I switch?

Yes, you can change from audit to credit (or vice-versa) up until the DROP/ADD deadline. For the June and July 3-week sessions, the DROP/ADD deadline is the first day of classes, for Summer 2026 6-week classes, the DROP/ADD deadline is Monday, June 8, 2026.Ìý After the DROP/ADD deadline, however, it will not be possible to switch. Please also take note that audit and credit tuition costs differ.

I have already signed up and have been admitted to a class, but now I want to do another class on offer at AUP instead. Can I switch?

You can switch to a different class (if there is space available in the class) up to DROP/ADD deadline. For the June and July 3-week sessions, the DROP/ADD deadline is the first day of classes, for Summer 2026 6-week classes, the DROP/ADD deadline is Monday, June 8, 2026. After DROP/ADD deadline, however, it will not be possible to switch. Some classes also have pre-requisites so you would also need to provide evidence that you satisfy any pre-requisites to change classes.

I am a native English speaker and have studied in an all-English Curriculum, but my portal says that I need to provide proof of an English language test. Can this be waived?

On your AUP application portal, under the ‘Academic History’ section, you can update your language of instruction for your studies in an accredited school, university, or institution. If your language of instruction was English, you can include this here and this will prompt the English language test to be waived. Please note, however, that we reserve the right to request English test results from any applicant.

I want to apply to AUP Summer School and to AUP for fall as an undergraduate. Do I need to complete both applications?

If you wish to apply for summer and fall, we ask that you complete your Fall application before we consider your interest in AUP Summer School. Students who are admitted to AUP for the Fall term will be automatically admitted to AUP Summer School, so this allows you to avoid completing two separate applications. If you decide to apply for the Fall semester after you have already been admitted to AUP Summer School, be advised that you will need to complete a separate application as the application processes are not the same.
