Start a Student Organization

Each semester, the Student Leadership Office hosts information session where you can learn how to start a student organization at AUP. Attend a session to learn how to bring your ideas to life at AUP, but be sure to check AUP Engage for any upcoming information sessions and details.

Steps to Register a new student organization are as follows:

  1. Explore AUP Engage to ensure your proposed organization does not already exist.Ěý
  2. Complete a constitution usingĚýĚýto help to you get started.Ěý
  3. Design a unique student organization logo.Ěý
  4. Identify a full-time AUP faculty or staff member who will serve as your Student Organization Advisor (SOA).Ěý
  5. Recruit at least 4 members to join your board.Ěý

Key Deadlines:

  • The deadline to apply for a new student organization for theĚýfall semesterĚýľ±˛őĚýApril 15th.Ěý
  • The deadline to apply for a new student organization for theĚýspring semesterĚýľ±˛őĚýNovember 15th.

Funding Your Activities

The AUP Student Government Association allocates a budget of €60,000 to Student Organizations. Ask your Student Organization Leader if you are interested in hosting an event or project and how to leverage the budget to fund student organization activities.
