The Best Translated Book Award is the largest prize for literature in translation in the United States. Selected from all original translations published last year, the author and translator of each winning title--there is one for fiction and another for poetry--will receive a $5,000 cash prize. This year's awardees will be announced in simultaneous ceremonies: one in New York and the other here in Paris, at Shakespeare and Company.

The AUP community is invited to a talk by Peter Wortsman, entitled 'Meditation in Translation - Transcending Ego and Transmitting Voice', which will take place next Monday the 24th at 18:30 in the ARC.
