Born in the USA raised in France and in Afghanistan, Professor Barry’s work in Ěýdefense of human rights and leading humanitarian missions, often under the most dangerous conditions of war, has ranged from the International Federation for Human Rights to MĂ©decins du Monde and the United Nations.
Dr. Barry also taught Islamic Studies for many years at Princeton University, and as an internationally recognized scholar of Islamic Art, he advised on the Islamic galleries at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
