Celebration of the launch of The Letters of Muriel Spark Volume I

University Room: Omid & Gisel Kordestani Rooftop Conference Center (Q-801)
6 rue du Colonel Combes 75007 Paris
Thursday, October 2, 2025 - 18:30 to 21:00

Join us for a celebration of the publication of the first of two volumes of The Letters of Muriel Spark, edited by AUP professor Dan Gunn.

Muriel Spark is considered by many to be the most important Scottish writer of the 20th century, and by some as the most important British novelist of the second half of that century. She lived in Scotland, Southern Rhodesia, South Africa, London, New York, Rome, and Tuscany; she was awarded an honorary degree by AUP in 2005, the year before her death. Dan Gunn has worked for eight years to prepare her letters for publication, described in the New Yorker as 'meticulously edited', and in The Herald as a 'superb selection'.

Members of the public are welcome but should email their names to dgunnataup.edu and come with ID.
